Manchester Camerata

Manchester Camerata - Doncaster Hothouse 2010
Conductor – Joseph Wolfe

We are delighted to welcome the wonderful Manchester Camerata Chamber Orchestra for their first ever performance in Doncaster.

Creativity and energy are the hallmarks of Camerata’s work and reflect the spirit of its home city where the orchestra is resident at the Bridgewater Hall and at the Royal College of Music.

The first half of the concert features the glorious sound of 20 strings filling the theatre with the music of British composers – Brittan, Elgar and Alwyn as well as a solo Cor Anglais. The second half will briefly visit Argentina for the Piazzolla tangos and culminate with a Mozart Symphony no. 29 – 30’. This promises to be a very special evening with one of the country’s leading chamber orchestras. Don’t miss it!
