National Orchestra in premier performance

Manchester Camerata - Doncaster Hothouse 2010One of the country’s leading Chamber Orchestra’s – Manchester Camerata visit Doncaster for the very first time on Tuesday 23 March, 7.30pm at the Civic Theatre. This premier performance is the start of a proposed three year partnership of outreach and audience development, music residency and performances leading up to the opening of Doncaster’s New Performance Venue. This stunning concert will be a rare treat for fans of classical music. The first half will feature the glorious sound of 20 strings filling the theatre with the music of British composers – Brittan, Elgar and Alwyn. The second half will briefly visit Argentina for the sizzling Piazzola Tangos and culminate with a Mozart Symphony no. 29 -30′. Tickets are still available for £16 or only £5 for under 18’s. It’ll be a night to remember so don’t miss it.
