As part of this years festival, the Get Active School Sport Partnership and Wayne Sables project are collaborating to increase boys’ participation and achievement in physical education and sport through a dance residency project supported by funding from Arts Council England. Since February nine secondary schools across the borough have enjoyed an intensive programme of Dance workshops that will culminate with over 50 boys performing pieces in styles of their choice as part of the Youth Dance Platform on Wednesday 24 March at 7pm. This very special platform event will also feature DeWarenne Academy, Urban Moves Streetdance Academy, Allegro TheatreDance Academy, Street Vibes School of Dance, Sugar Kane’s, Doncaster College Street Dance and Denaby Main Primary.
