Known for their fresh and dynamic performances, Manchester Camerata chamber orchestra presents a concert of Baroque favourites under the direction of period performance expert, Nicholas Kraemer.</p>
<p>In addition to such well-known masterpieces as Pachelbel’s Canon, Vivaldi’s ‘Winter’ from the Seasons, and Purcell’s Chacony, it’s an opportunity to hear some of the Camerata players in a solo role in the much-loved Albinoni Oboe concerto and Bach’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe.</p>

The first After Hours session takes place on Friday March 19 from 9.30pm to midnight and will feature DJ&#8217;s playing retro-chic sounds and a live acoustic session.  Then on Saturday March 27 from 10.30pm to midnight we&#8217;ve got World Music DJ&#8217;s and a live fiddle session with the brilliant Nick Wyke and Becki Driscoll..  don&#8217;t miss it.  The evenings are open to all over 18 and no booking is required.</p>

This premier performance is the start of a proposed  three year partnership of outreach and audience development, music residency and performances leading up to the opening of Doncaster&#8217;s New Performance Venue.   This stunning concert will be a rare treat for fans of classical music.  The first half will feature the glorious sound of 20 strings filling the theatre with the music of British composers &#8211; Brittan, Elgar and Alwyn. The second half will briefly visit Argentina for the sizzling Piazzola Tangos and culminate with a Mozart Symphony no. 29 -30&#8242;.   Tickets are still available for £16 or only £5 for under 18&#8217;s.  It&#8217;ll be a night to remember so don&#8217;t miss it.</p>

Where it Hurts features a collection of original and haunting songs co-written with Dominic Miller and Martyn Barker.  Sarah Jane is best known from the 1980’s as a member of the Communards who had a huge  world wide hit with ‘ Don’t Leave Me This Way.’  Whilst Dominic Miller is widely regarded as a guitar maestro who is best known for his collaborations with Sting.   It promises to be a wonderful evening, so don’t miss it.  Tickets for the performance at 8.00pm on Wednesday March 17 are only £14, £12 and just £5 for 12-18 year olds.    </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Blues Band, featuring the brilliant vocals of Paul Jones and Dave Kelly, are just one of the musical highlights for this year’s HotHouse.  Tickets are selling fast for this very special thirtieth Anniversary performance that opens at The Civic Theatre on Tuesday 16 March at 8pm before touring across the country. </p>
<p>Paul Jones was the voice of Manfred Mann, famous for hits such as ‘5-4-3-2-1’ and ‘Do Wah Diddy Diddy’.  He also hosted a long-running weekly show on BBC Radio 2.   Dave Kelly has been active on the British blues music scene since the 1960s.  During his career Dave has jammed with Muddy Waters as well as playing in Howlin&#8217; Wolf and John Lee Hooker’s touring bands.</p>
<p>Don’t miss this legendary band as they perform in Doncaster for the very first time.</p>
