For over fifty years Doncaster duos Pat & Roger Johns and Mark & Madeline Dalton have toured the country playing their own brand of country music.
Twenty years ago they joined forces with a group of friends for a charity concert and as a result the Dalton Johns Band was born.
Today its eight regular members led by 83 years young Roger Johns have a combined age of over 500 years and they are still playing.
Every Wednesday they get together at the Top Club in Bentley and host a country music session with guest musicians who range from beginners to seasoned professionals.
HotHouse08 is featuring one of these sessions and festival sponsors Fern Creative will be filming the event. The footage will be included in a television programme that links the roots of country music in the South Yorkshire coalfield with their counterparts in the mining areas of Southern Tennessee around Nashville.
